Corona - Sailaway: We made use of the pick-up service: The food is almost lovingly and visually packaged, the amount in the boxes is surprisingly large - nobody stays hungry. The quality also convinced us. All in all: Conceived as a compromise solution: it is not - it is an attractive alternative that we will gladly use again.

A dream place to have a romantic dinner. You will be spoiled with delicious food right on the beautiful Lake Zurich. The service is very attentive and courteous.

Absolutely first class location. Three glasses of good champagne, with very fine olives / Parmesan / bread / oil, total CHF 84.- (for two people), OK, Lake Zurich prices. About the service: the staff correct and competent, but very brittle. And inattentive (Saturday evening, few guests): When I tried to get attention for a repeat order for minutes, I almost turned my neck. Finally I got up and tried to go to the counter. But even this hint with the fence post was not understood, we were later ignored again. Sorry, but you don't feel welcome that way, and that is exactly what is essential in the hospitality industry, no matter how good the food is. Incidentally, I worked in service for years myself. As a guest, I am willing to pay a significant surcharge (see above) for the “overall experience” in a restaurant. In return, however, I expect (among other things) some attention, charm and a recognizable willingness to provide service from the staff. Simply to get a glass for an expensive fee, I really don't have to leave my warm room (also with a view of the lake).

Food was ok but price performance wasn't right for me. Service was friendly. Unfortunately the fish was not from local catch but imported internationally, a shame as it would actually be a nice restaurant on the lake. Not my first choice.

The head of room service it was very disagreeable when l ask for a seat to drink something on a normal Thursday , he answered that for eat yes but for drink were not space, and before the waitress told me yes. Its the second time and the same answer, l will not come back anymore and also I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!

Culinary: TOP !!!!! Location / view: You can hardly beat it. (small side note: for the same price you can get twice as much service staff from Ferlin, Kronenhalle, Dolder, etc.)

We dropped by for an afternoon drink. The view is great, but some of the staff were downright rude and unfortunately, as some other reviews have pointed out, snobby. Didn’t use to be this way. Unfortunate.

In summer as well as in winter, the Seehaus is an absolute dream. The view of Lake Zurich and the opposite side is spectacular and you can practically sit on a terrace while eating. You can also sit on the dock, have a drink and put on something. The food, whether on the lunch or dinner menu, is really delicious and you usually get a little greeting from the kitchen in advance over lunch time. Mr. Gut and his service are extremely friendly and courteous. The number of parking spaces could be criticized, but even if you have to park further away, you can overlook it due to the very good food and experience (ambience, view, club music in the background, etc.). I have been going to the Seehaus regularly at lunchtime for over a year now and can only recommend it to everyone.

Excellent place by Zurich Lake! It offers great views over the lake and the Alps, especially in a sunny day! Nice place for kids too. I think that they organise functions as well!

Delicious nicoise salad with sashimi style tuna on it, the location is great. Unfortunately our table was not ready at the reservation hour, but we could wait by the bar for it to be free. Gets very busy in the summertime so better reserve!

Stayed here a few times already. The service is always friendly and the food delicious. Highly recommendable during good weather because of the glass front out to the lake. Simply beautiful.

Unfortunately very bad service with untrained staff. The location is great but they need to change the team quickly. Waiter was wearing dirty apron, coke bottle and glass were just put on table like in a pub! 1 main dish arrived 10 minutes later, dessert (1 bowl of ice cream!!) 30min later. Daily dish was recommended without being told that it was the most expensive dish on the whole menu!! This does not meet the standards expected of such a location with their prices.

Great location, but unfortunately the service and the food have a different level since this year. The service is uncoordinated, personnel is lacking awareness, not having the right etiquette, long time waiting for the food, etc.

This year I visited this restaurant twice in April and in Mai 2019. Unfortunately I experienced a very poor service each time. A year ago it was a really nice place to eat, however it changed this year dramatically in a negative way. The most negative change is unfriendliness of the staff due to lack of basic manners and professional behaviour. This staff is trained to work in a Bavarian pub but not in a restaurant at the lake of Zurich. As far as food, it was good first time, but second time it was very salty, so you could hardly taste the ingredients. Moreover the ingredients seemed not to be fresh, e.g. cheap tomatoes from a can , More details on the service: - long waiting time for food (Due to long waiting time we allready called another restaurant to organise the table. Since the food finally arrived, when we made a call, we did not leave) - the waiters cannot remember which table ordered what food (we experianced it 3 times during 2 visists) - if there are 4 people at the table only 3 people are served and the fourth person has to wait literally 45 minutes for the food ( it happened us twice, when the main dish was served and when the desert was served) - the waiters do not serve drinks into a glass, but literally smash a bootle on the table, like if you were in an Irish pub. My colleague, who ordered a coke was shocked. - waiters do not keep promise in terms of improving service, when you make a remark, on top they complain to the boss openly so when ypu accidently approach a bar area you can easily hear their complains. Moreover the boss does not react to the complains at all. For example we complained about the food beeing very salty ( both the soup as well as the main dish). The waiter informed about our compain the boss. The boss answered : " They consumed the whole dish, so it cannot be salty". Surely we did, but only because we were hungry due to long waiting time. - when leaving a restaurant you make a comment about the poor service, the answer of the boss is more or less as follows: " the stuff is still in the process of training". In my opinion this staff cannot be trained at all. There is a HUGE GAP in a behaviour of a person working in a pub or in an imbiss compare to a restaurant, where a client pays for a good food and special treatment. The current staff in Seehaus Herliberg has manners of a staff working in an average pub or in October Fest. No training makes any difference ever. I want to stress that going to an average restaurant in the Swiss mountains you normally get a better treatment (unless you are very unlucky and you end up in a chain restaurant with a seasonal staff).

Great view and super relax

The meal was delicious! Had the fish of the day. Service great, the only downside, on a saturday afternoon, with only people around 40-50 years old, the music was heavy techno which didn't suit at all.

In the middle of Lake Zurich. There were invited to a wedding which had rented the locale completely. Food was delicious and the waiters were also very polite.
